CINCO DE MAYO: These New York Beauty blocks are from Karen Stone’s “Cinco De Mayo” quilt and constructing it one block at a time makes this rather intimidating project quite manageable. Each month you will work on construction and color placement for a new block. Ist Monday evenings 6:30-8:30 or 1st Thursdays 1-3. Six Sessions

We just love all our fantastic customers who have supported us over these past five years, so we want to extend an invitation to all to participate in our new 3rd Thursday program. Every third Thursday you will receive 20% off any bolt of fabric that you empty! Great for whenever you need backing fabric or border fabrics. We will also offer ‘Third Thursday” group demos by special arrangement. Plan a field trip with your quilting buddies and let us know the time and how many are coming and we will have treat ready for your group.

The Artful Quilter Handi-Quilter 16 Rental Program is Here!

HQ 16 Stitch Regulated Training and Certification Class: Tired of struggling to complete your quilt tops? Don’t have room for a longarm of your own? You can now rent one of our HQ Sixteen machines to complete all those tops in no time at all. In order to participate, you must complete our basic training and certification class and purchase leader from us. 

HQ 16 Stitch Regulated  Rentals: Half and full day rentals will be by appointment only. We have set aside Tuesday and Wednesday in our schedule for rentals. Other days and hourly rates will be made available by special arrangement.

HALF DAY RENTALS (3 Hours)  10-1 or 1:30-4:30   $50

FULL DAY RENTALS (6.5 Hours) 10:4:30 $95

 Note: “4th Friday Girls Night Out” program has been cancelled. Participation was too sporadic to warrant staffing. We will consider a weekday sit and sew if enough interest is shown. Please contact us if you are interested.

Our very popular Sunday Brunch series is geared to the intermediate to advanced quilter and includes a yummy, light continental brunch. The projects we choose are inspiring and include some of our original designs.

♥♥Braided Garden: I had a great time putting this whimsical project together. The braids are constructed quickly and I will share a few secrets for trimming that bias. You will learn how to keep the braids straight and square and we’ll cover some invisible appliqué  and bias making techniques as well. Sew much fun!

♥♥Kaffe’s Perfect Pickles:  We got a sneak preview of this project from Kaffe and Liza at market, so couldn't wait to include it in our Sunday Brunch Bunch. We all know how much Cindy loves her Kaffe fabrics! It’s a traditional pickle dish quilt with a pop style all it’s own! Hmm… I wonder how many pickle recipes we can find for Brunch (just kidding!)

Hand Work Clubs

Annabel hosts the traditional social hand work “Piecemakers” and “Starmakers” clubs. Join these special groups of delightful ladies for a casual morning or afternoon of stitching and enjoy the timeless art of hand work. Gather with old friends or come to make new ones. New students are welcome.
